Orthopaedic and one-day orthopaedic surgery

Orthopaedic and one-day orthopaedic surgery – Life on the move

Musculoskeletal pain, the consequence of a previous injury or the progressive wear and tear of joints can make everyday life significantly more difficult. In addition to pain, reduced exercise, numbness or loss of joint loads may limit work, sport and even the easiest everyday activities. Our orthopaedic and traumatic order aims to uncover the background of complaints and develop a personalised treatment plan that can help reduce pain and restore exercise function.

In our clinic, we deal with both the investigation and treatment of residual complaints following accidental injuries and chronic musculoskeletal degenerative diseases. During the detailed medical consultation and physical examination, we review the previous findings and imaging studies and on this basis determine the options for further treatment.

Personalised treatment – not all musculoskeletal problems require surgery

The choice of appropriate orthopaedic treatment will always depend on the specific problem and the condition of the patient. In addition to surgical solutions, a number of conservative treatment options are available. Depending on the nature of the complaints, medication and physiotherapy, injection therapy, infusion therapy, TENS, kinesiology patches, the use of a medical device or other complementary treatments may also be considered.

In our specialised order, it is possible to inject joints and soft tissue locally, as well as infusion treatments for certain musculoskeletal and neurological pains. Special treatment options are provided for, inter alia, ischiatric, pericardial, radiculopathic and neuropathic complaints, if indicated by a specialist examination.

Day and outpatient orthopaedic surgery

If conservative treatment does not lead to satisfactory results or if surgery is justified due to the nature of the lesion, certain orthopaedic procedures may be performed locally in our clinics.

One of the greatest advantages of day and outpatient surgery is that, if appropriately selected, hospital stays for several days are not required. The patient may continue to heal at home after post-operative observation if the general condition is good.

Surgery on frequent changes of hands and wrists is a priority area. Examples include carpal tunnel syndrome (carpalis tunnel syndrome), new pathopathies, De Quervain’s sculpture inflammation, or ganglion. These conditions can result in pain, numbness, impaired movement of the fingers or impaired hand function, and can be surgically treated if appropriately indicated.
